About XIII

XIII is a remake of the cult first-person action game first released in 2003, presenting a solo campaign packed with twists and a distinctive, completely reinvented cel-shading art style. Drawing inspiration from the graphic novel of the same name, it also lets players take part in fierce multiplayer battles, blending its indie sensibility with sharp FPS action.

The story opens with the nation reeling from the assassination of President Sheridan. You wake wounded and amnesiac on a deserted beach on the east coast, with only a tattoo of the number XIII near your collarbone and a locker key to hint at who you are. Though your memory has failed you, your body still carries the reflexes of a highly trained professional fighter. From there you set out to reconstruct your past, gradually discovering that you played a part in the President's murder and uncovering what is described as the most astounding conspiracy in the country's history. Combining a mystery-driven single-player narrative with its striking visual identity and competitive multiplayer, XIII offers a stylish action shooter on PC.
