Where Winds Meet launches worldwide, free-to-play
Everstone and NetEase's wuxia open world arrives on PC and PS5, cosmetic-only and with no pay-to-win.
Where Winds Meet launched globally on 14 November 2025 on PC (Steam, Epic and the official launcher) and PlayStation 5, as a free-to-play open-world wuxia action-RPG. Developer Everstone Studio and publisher NetEase leaned hard on the "no pay-to-win" message: every weapon and martial art is earned in-game, with monetisation limited to cosmetics.
Set in a sprawling 10th-century China at the close of the Five Dynasties era, it pairs soulslike, parry-driven combat across eight weapon styles with a deep life-sim layer — fishing, music, medicine, housing and more — and full cross-play and cross-progression.
