Wuthering Waves casts you as Rover, a traveller awakening into a world scarred by a cataclysm known as the Lament, which left earlier creations and beings silent and static before humanity rose anew from the ruins. Set in the land of Solaris-3, this action RPG frames your journey as one of Awakening, filled with companions to meet, enemies to defeat, new powers to earn and hidden truths waiting to be uncovered as your lost memories gradually return.

Exploration is a core pillar, offering a wide and open overworld with a high degree of freedom. Traversal tools such as grapple and wall dash let you cover long distances and clear obstacles with minimal drain on stamina, encouraging you to roam and discover. Combat is fast-paced and fluid, emphasising skill and timing through mechanics like Extreme Evasion, Dodge Counter, Echo Skill and unique QTE systems, rewarding players who master its rhythm of attack and defence.
