WRC Generations arrives as the 2022 season ushers in the sport's hybrid era, a genuine shake-up for rally that reshapes performance, forces new strategies and demands fresh adaptation from drivers and teams. That transition drives the gameplay: new mechanics reflect the hybrid engines, and winning means carefully managing your battery by adjusting engine mapping across every special stage. A completely rebuilt Rally Sweden environment, set in the Umea region with six brand-new stages, further sharpens the championship's realism, and the vehicle physics have been reworked to feel even more true to life.
Community features run deep in this racing simulation. Players can share custom liveries and stickers, with the best designs rewarded and showcased, while the new Leagues mode matches you against opponents of similar ability online, letting you climb the ladder toward the Legends category. The content is the most generous the series had assembled for a rally game on PC: roughly 750 km of unique special stages across 22 countries, 49 teams from the 2022 season spanning Rally1, Rally2 and Junior WRC, 37 legendary cars plus bonuses, and 165 timed stages in all.
