About Windbound

Windbound strands you alone on an uncharted island as Kara, a warrior swept from her tribe when a fierce storm tears her from her boat. Tossed by turbulent waters onto the shores of the mysterious Forbidden Islands, you begin with no boat, no food, and no tools, relying only on your will and skill to stay alive. Exploring, adapting, and navigating both land and perilous seas becomes the key to survival in this indie adventure with RPG roots.

With nothing to your name, you uncover the islands' rich resources and craft the tools and weapons needed to hunt and to defend yourself against nature and its wild, fantastical creatures. As you press on to further islands and the scattered ruins across their lands, secrets of the past and glimpses of the future begin to surface. Unraveling these mysteries may lead you to far more than just a way home.

The adventure is built around exploration and self-reliance. You head toward the horizon, advancing across islands that each hold diverse wildlife, landscapes, and challenges, while scavenging untamed terrain for the resources needed to craft a full range of tools, weapons, and boat upgrades. When resources run thin, you set sail again, pushing onward across the Forbidden Islands in search of the revelations waiting at the edge of the map, all on PC.
