Wavetale is a story-driven action-adventure game that carries you across an open sea and the decaying archipelago of Strandville, where you meet fed-up fishermen, secretive hermits, and perhaps a pirate or two. You play as Sigrid, a young girl who befriends a mysterious shadow that grants her the power to walk on water, and together you traverse calm waters and surging waves in a heart-warming tale about loss and reconciliation.

The experience emphasizes fluid, fast-paced movement with a platformer's flavor: you speed through the waves, swing yourself between housetops using your net, and ultimately defeat an old nemesis to save the citizens of the islands, all with a little help from the shadows below and your cranky grandmother.
