Truberbrook is a sci-fi mystery adventure that whisks you away on an adventurous vacation to a 1960s parallel universe, all brought to life with distinctive handmade scenery. You step into the role of Hans Tannhauser, a young American scientist on a trip to Europe in the late sixties, who somehow ends up in Truberbrook, a remote village set in the rural, mountain-sloped and densely forested landscape of cold-war Germany. Officially you won the journey in a lottery, or so it seems, but instead of finding rest you may soon find yourself having to save the world.
As a single-player indie adventure, the game promises suspense, mystery and thrills while following Tannhauser as a stranger in a strange land. Its cold-war setting draws inspiration from Twin Peaks, The X-Files, Stranger Things and Star Trek, weaving in universal themes such as love, friendship, loyalty and self-discovery, with a dash of dinosaurs. The presentation leans on genuine handmade miniature scenery, full voice acting in both English and German, and an atmospheric, moody soundtrack, offering PC players up to ten hours of story-driven gameplay in a world crafted quite literally by hand.
