About Total War: ATTILA

Total War: ATTILA poster

Total War: ATTILA sets its apocalyptic stage in 395 AD, at the very dawn of the Dark Ages, against a darkening backdrop of famine, disease and war. In the great steppes of the East a new power rises, and the ultimate warrior king approaches with a million horsemen at his back, his sights fixed firmly on Rome. As the next installment in the multi-award-winning PC series, it once again fuses turn-based strategy with real-time tactics, framing everything as a struggle for survival.

The strategy game poses a stark question of how far you will go to endure. You might sweep oppression from the world and carve out a barbarian or Eastern kingdom of your own, or brace against the coming storm as the last remnants of the Roman Empire in an ultimate survival-strategy challenge. Apocalyptic destruction mechanics let you wield fire in battle to set buildings ablaze and terrify defenders, or use the new raze mechanic to wipe entire cities and regions from the campaign map. A legendary start position awaits the Western Roman Empire, its vast territories weakened by in-fighting and beset on all sides, while overhauled mechanics refine politics, the family tree and more.
