Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation reaches back to Egyptian legend for its premise, recalling how Horus, son of the light, once outwitted the evil god Set and sealed him inside a secret tomb. Five thousand years later, Lara Croft stumbles upon that lost tomb and unwittingly frees Set, fulfilling the ancient prophecy of his return and threatening to plunge mankind into darkness. What follows is a desperate race against time, with Lara relying on all her wit and skill to re-imprison the god and avert Armageddon.
The action-adventure unfolds as a journey of discovery across Egypt, where Lara must overcome fiendishly clever puzzles and infernal traps while facing terrifying evil from beyond the grave. Complicating matters at every turn is her arch-rival, the unscrupulous archaeologist Werner Von Croy, who dogs her pursuit. With its labyrinthine twists and heavy emphasis on platforming and puzzle-solving, the PC adventure delivers heart-stopping tension, staying true to the exploration-driven identity the series is known for as Lara works toward the revelation the title promises.
