About This War of Mine: Final Cut

This War of Mine: Final Cut poster

This War of Mine: Final Cut is the remastered, definitive version of the game, gathering every update and free expansion released so far while adding a new scenario and expanding all existing ones with locations drawn from the Stories DLCs, even for players who don't own them. In practice, that means a wealth of fresh playthroughs and challenges you haven't seen before.

Rather than casting you as an elite soldier, the game follows a group of civilians struggling to survive in a besieged city, short on food and medicine and menaced by snipers and hostile scavengers. It presents war from an entirely different angle. A day and night cycle sets the rhythm: by day, snipers keep you pinned indoors, so you focus on maintaining your hideout through crafting, trading, and caring for your survivors, while at night one civilian ventures out to scavenge unique locations for vital supplies.

The heart of the experience lies in life-and-death choices guided by conscience. You might try to shelter everyone or sacrifice some for the group's longer-term survival, learning that in war there are no simply good or bad decisions, only survival. Blending survival simulation with adventure and indie storytelling on PC, its emotional weight lingers.
