About The Valiant

The Valiant is a squad-based real-time strategy game wrapped in an RPG-flavored medieval tale, following Theoderich von Akenburg, a former crusader knight disillusioned by the cruelty of war. He is pulled back into action by events set in motion fifteen years earlier, when he and his former brother-in-arms Ulrich von Grevel came upon a fractured piece of an ancient artifact, the Rod of Aaron. A young monk named Malcom arrives to warn Theoderich that the Rod holds power never meant for mortals, and that Ulrich has grown obsessed with reuniting its pieces, an act that could unleash untold evil and suffering upon the world.

To keep the remaining relics from Ulrich, Theoderich sets out on a quest that carries him across Europe and the Middle East. Along the way he meets many other warriors who rally to his cause for their own reasons, from the seasoned Reinhard von Kempten of the Teutonic Order to the ambitious young mercenary Grimhild Eidottr and her Raven Company, and the bonds they form are tested through the trials to come.

The gameplay centers on commanding a range of units, from tanky Swordsmen to swift cavalry, and selecting hero-squads alongside auxiliary squads across hand-crafted missions. Blending tactical RTS command with its story of brotherhood and betrayal, this PC strategy title turns the hunt for a dangerous artifact into a sweeping medieval campaign.
