About The Outer Worlds 2

The Outer Worlds 2 is the sequel to Obsidian Entertainment's award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG, delivering an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a fresh colony. You play as an Earth Directorate agent tasked with tracing the source of devastating rifts that threaten all of humanity, an investigation that leads to Arcadia, the home of skip drive technology, where the fate of the colony and ultimately the galaxy comes down to your decisions.

Arcadia is torn apart by a factional war. The Protectorate's supposedly benevolent rule is challenged on one side by a rebellion from its own religious order and on the other by a corporate invasion, while destructive rifts spread across the colony and each faction fights to either control or seal them for its own ends. You navigate diverse zones, dig into hidden lore, and shape the fate of a system on the brink.

Character building lets you pick the abilities and choices that mirror your playstyle, and the colony responds to your every move, crafting a narrative that is genuinely yours, whether you lean into diplomacy, cold strategy, outright chaos, or something else entirely. Your strengths, flaws, crew, and chosen factions all feed into how events unfold, giving PC players a reactive RPG shaped by the way they play.
