The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is an official action adventure with RPG elements adapted from the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien. It runs parallel to the events of The Fellowship of the Ring and casts you as the enigmatic Gollum, following his perilous journey and revealing how he managed to outwit some of the most powerful figures in Middle-earth in his desperate hunt to reclaim his Precious.

Though Gollum's obsessive quest is a central strand of Tolkien's story, it has never been shown in detail, and this game sets out to tell that untold tale while staying faithful to the books. It traces his flight from Mordor, where he slips past the Mouth of Sauron and the demon-spider Shelob, all the way to the dungeons of the Elvenking Thranduil, father of Legolas, chronicling the many encounters and adventures scattered across his extraordinary path.

After centuries under the Ring's corruption, Gollum has grown unusually agile and sharp-witted, and the game leans on those traits through a blend of action and stealth. You use his unique skills to explore and infiltrate legendary locations at dizzying heights, slipping past Orcs as you climb dark towers.
