About The Legend of Tianding

The Legend of Tianding is an action adventure with RPG and fighting elements that casts you as Liao Tianding, a real historical outlaw remembered as the Taiwanese Robin Hood. Wanted by the Colonial Japanese authorities, this vigilante of Taipei robs the rich, feeds the poor, and battles for justice through the streets of early 20th century Taiwan. Drawing on real events, people, and situations, the game explores a place and era that often go overlooked, all rendered in the striking style of Traditional Chinese Manga.

Combat is fast and technical, mixing Kung Fu with a tanto and a waist sash. You chain advanced aerial combos, snatch weapons out of enemies' hands, and swing around the battlefield with your sash and grappling hook to unnerve your oppressors. Boss fights pit you against memorable foes such as deadly courtesans, greedy businessmen, and military leaders, each armed with dynamic abilities and punishing attacks.

Exploration takes you through the Dadaocheng district of Taipei as it appeared in the early 1900s, where you dash along colorful streets, ride a speeding train, and slip away through shadowy sewers. Equippable talismans let you tailor Liao Tianding to your preferred playstyle, granting magical benefits that keep this PC action adventure feeling flexible from fight to fight.
