About The Inquisitor

The Inquisitor is a story-driven, dark fantasy adventure with action elements that repeatedly forces you to face difficult moral choices. Set in an alternative, religious version of reality inspired by the bestselling Inquisitor book series by Jacek Piekara, its premise is stark: after being nailed to the cross and near death, Jesus is consumed by rage, breaks free, and unleashes violent vengeance on non-believers. Centuries later, an army of zealot Inquisitors brutally enforces the faith of this blood-soaked Church.

You play as Mordimer Madderdin, an Inquisitor in God's service dispatched to the town of Koenigstein, a place plagued by a series of mysteries and sins. Your task is to solve the various cases and crimes of those who have transgressed against the faith, all while uncovering the truth behind a darker evil from another realm attempting to enter the world of the living.

As both Holy Judge and Jury, you're charged with maintaining order and enforcing belief in a world full of sinners who have lost their way. You decide the fates of those you judge across multiple story-driven cases, choosing between mercy and unyielding conviction. This morally tainted, non-linear tale centers on a religion preaching revenge and violence, making it a grim action-adventure for PC players drawn to dark, choice-heavy storytelling.
