About The Flame in the Flood

The Flame in the Flood poster

The Flame in the Flood is a rogue-lite river journey through the backwaters of a forgotten, post-societal America. You travel both on foot and by raft down a procedurally generated river, foraging for resources, crafting tools, and doing whatever it takes to keep moving. Survival here is a constant balancing act of scavenging, staying healthy, and pushing forward through a landscape that has been left behind by civilization.

The threats come from every direction. As you make your way downstream, you'll need to remedy afflictions, evade vicious wildlife, and, above all, stay ahead of the relentless rains that are always closing in behind you. That sense of forward momentum and looming danger gives the journey its tension, since stopping too long is never really an option.

The game carries notable pedigree, coming from the Art Director of BioShock along with a team of veterans who worked on the BioShock, Halo, Guitar Hero, and Rock Band series. That experience shows in its distinctive atmosphere and craftsmanship. Blending action, adventure, and indie sensibilities, this PC survival experience turns a lonely trip down a flooded river into a memorable test of resourcefulness and endurance.
