The Crust is a strategy and simulation game about building a colony on the Moon and laying the groundwork for the exploration of deep space. Roughly 400,000 kilometers from Earth, you mine valuable resources, automate production, manage scientific expeditions, and explore the lunar surface, all while confronting just how vast and mysterious the cosmos really is.

Automation forms the backbone of the experience. You mine resources, design production lines, and automate them using extensive conveyor networks, innovative lunar transport, and a capable team of explorers. Layered on top is a trading system in which you receive orders from Earth's biggest corporations and most powerful nations, letting you create scarcity by speculating on demand for long-term profit or invest surpluses into ambitious mega-projects that help push humanity toward becoming a multiplanetary species.

People are treated as your most valuable resource, so you must keep track of your colonists' health, mood, and needs, hire the best experts, and ensure they work as a team, since their unique traits and skills are what let you truly optimize production and research. Exploration adds another dimension, as you form transport teams and organize scientific and rescue expeditions to remote sites, abandoned buildings, and unusual geological features. Tough choices run throughout this lunar colony sim on PC.
