About Terraformers

Terraformers poster

Terraformers is a turn-based colony builder and resource management game with roguelike elements, set on the surface of Mars. You explore the Red Planet, grow spectacular cities, spread life, and pursue ambitious terraforming projects, all while balancing the practical demands of keeping a fledgling settlement alive.

Exploration is a central pillar. You send leaders to mysterious locations to be the first to uncover rich resource depots, giant crystal caves, and stunning natural wonders, and you found new cities in craters and lava tubes, helping them thrive as your population's demands grow. Mining the planet's rare metals, refining them into advanced goods, and building an effective transport network between your expanding cities keep the economy moving.

The terraforming itself unfolds through grand, planet-scale endeavors: restarting a dormant volcano, constructing giant space mirrors, or crashing ice asteroids to geo-engineer Mars as a whole. Life is introduced step by step, from adaptive bacteria to full-grown forests complete with bears, and each life form carries its own requirements and strategic benefits. The developers frame the project as a way to inspire humankind's first steps toward becoming an interplanetary species, giving this simulation and strategy title on PC a hopeful, forward-looking outlook.
