About TERRACOTTA

TERRACOTTA poster

TERRACOTTA is an action-adventure rooted in China's Qin dynasty, the country's first imperial dynasty, which, despite lasting only fifteen years, laid the foundations of a state that would endure for over two thousand years. The game opens in the darkness of an underground mausoleum, where a terracotta figurine cracks and a soul awakens, surrounded by eight thousand fellow terracotta warriors bound under a curse placed upon the first emperor's army.

As the sole uncursed warrior of the Terracotta Army, your task is to channel the energy of the Tao, lift the curse, and free your comrades, bringing peace to one of ancient China's greatest wonders. Along the way, the game evokes the splendor and drama of an era in which China transformed from a patchwork of warring states into a united empire, complete with the creation of the first Great Wall and the victories that preserved its legacy.

At the core of the design is the ability to shift between the Twin Realms of Yin and Yang. Yin represents solitude and tranquility, the dark, desolate tomb that serves as your fortress, where you strategize, prepare, and alter your surroundings. Yang is the afterlife, a realm of light and action where you carry out those plans, evade foes, and overcome the tomb's defenses, looping between the two to solve challenges. It arrives as an atmospheric indie adventure on PC.
