About Techtonica

Techtonica poster

Techtonica is a factory automation game set in the strangely beautiful, bioluminescent depths of an alien world called Calyx. You begin with only the essentials for digging, mining, and producing resources, then gradually build up the equipment, power, and infrastructure needed to unravel the mysteries buried beneath the surface.

What sets it apart in its genre is a complete, fully voice-acted story campaign, a rarity for factory games. As Groundbreaker, you work to untangle and revive the efforts of an expedition that went badly wrong, aided by cubic companions who have their own personalities, motives, and secrets. Progress comes from building specialized machines to optimize gathering and production, arming yourself with the tools to dig ever higher toward the surface.

Exploration is rewarded throughout. Tunneling outward leads to massive ore deposits, research-rich facilities, and hidden caves that hold new technologies and ancient artifacts to scan, all deepening your understanding of this world. You can also reshape entire caves, blasting away stone with a black hole gun or draining deserts of sand with towering pumps to expose what lies below. Tying it together is the construction of sprawling, efficient factories, automating production lines with conveyor belts and inserters as a strategy and simulation experience on PC.
