Tavern Keeper is a management sim, RPG, and strategy blend that puts you in charge of your own fantasy watering hole. You build and decorate the space, hire and manage staff, stock the larder, get to know the locals, and decide whether to run a cozy neighborhood taphouse or a ruthlessly efficient money-making operation, with every choice carrying its own consequences.
What keeps things lively is a web of interconnected systems that produce unpredictable, emergent situations. Dirt, heat, noise, flammability, sickness, and a steady stream of colorful patrons all feed into one another, so a single spark from a broken lantern landing on the wrong patch of grime can turn a busy evening into a scramble to call the fire brigade while half your staff are out sick and orders pile up.
Wrapped around the management is a witty narrative campaign, fully narrated by Steven Pacey, that sends you building taverns across a vibrant world of fantasy cultures. Each new location brings fresh challenges and surprising stories, from immortal elementals to halfling philosophers and a somewhat unhinged orc inventor. Hundreds of bite-sized encounters ask you to make choices as the local Tavern Keeper, and a dedicated Design Mode lets you get creative with how your inn takes shape on PC.
