About Tannenberg

Tannenberg poster

Tannenberg is a first-person shooter that recreates the sprawling battles of the Eastern Front during World War 1, letting up to sixty-four players contest key sectors of ground that each carry their own strategic weight. Pitting the Russian Empire, Germany, and their respective allies against one another, it offers something distinct for both shooter fans and anyone drawn to military history.

Authenticity is a core focus. The fighting plays out across the lakes, forests, mountains, and snowbound plains of the Eastern Front, and the game takes its name and inspiration from the 1914 Battle of Tannenberg, one of history's most famous encirclements. Players can take up the accurately modeled equipment of Russian Frontovik and Cossack units, the Latvian Riflemen, or Romanian infantry, or side with the Central Powers as Austro-Hungarian, German, or Bulgarian troops. Seven squads, more than fifty weapons, and eight large maps give plenty of tactical room to maneuver.

The standout Maneuver mode captures the shifting nature of Eastern Front warfare, with objectives and front lines constantly moving as teams push and fall back across the map. Success depends on coordinating with your four-man squad and reading the battlefield. Full AI bot support means these large-scale clashes are available whenever you want to play on PC.
