System Shock® 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster poster

System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, produced by Nightdive Studios, brings a modernized version of the beloved FPS and RPG classic to a new generation. The year is 2114, and as you wake from cryo sleep aboard the FTL ship Von Braun, you cannot remember who or where you are, and something has clearly gone terribly wrong. Hybrid mutants and deadly robots stalk the halls while the cries of the surviving crew echo through the ship's cold hull, all because SHODAN, a rogue AI set on humanity's destruction, has taken over, leaving it to you to stop her.

Much of the experience is about atmosphere and discovery. You delve through the corridors of the derelict Von Braun, immersing yourself in its story-rich environments and unraveling deck by deck the horrifying fate that befell the ship and her crew. The mystery pulls you steadily deeper into the vessel's darkness.

The remaster layers modern conveniences over that classic foundation. You choose from three military branches, the O.S.A, Marines, or Navy, and experiment with different play styles, while enjoying additional mod support, performance up to 144FPS with ultra-widescreen support, 50 achievements, enhanced character and weapon models with new animations, and optimized controller support. An action-adventure RPG shooter, it gives PC players a definitive way to revisit a genre-defining sci-fi horror classic.
