About Symphonia

Symphonia poster

In the realm of Symphonia, music is the very source of life and energy. Ever since the founders and their orchestra vanished, its inhabitants have grown divided and the world has slowly slipped into silence. The central question is whether a new orchestra can be gathered, and answering it falls to Philemon, the mysterious musician at the heart of the game. You embody a violinist brought back to life in this declining world, wielding a violin and bow that serve as both your instrument and your means of transport.

Using that instrument, you catapult yourself through the world and complete levels by solving lively platforming challenges, all while reactivating the machinery that restores life and energy. Symphonia's world is built around the symphonic orchestra and populated with colorful characters, and each area carries its own distinct feel, with every hand-crafted room its own moment. Along the way you meet prodigious musicians and try to persuade them to join your cause.

The soundtrack, rooted in the romantic musical period, was crafted by composer Olivier Esman alongside partners Alexandre Bucas-Francais and Lou Corroyer, and performed by the Scoring Orchestra Paris specifically for the game. Engrossing concerts each center on a family of instruments, from Strings to Brass to Woodwinds. Blending action, adventure, and platforming, this indie PC title asks you to explore, navigate, play the violin, and awaken Symphonia.
