Surviving the Aftermath challenges you to survive and thrive in a post-apocalyptic future where resources are scarce but opportunity still beckons. Your goal is to build the ultimate disaster-proof colony, protect your colonists, and gradually restore civilization to a devastated world, all while venturing beyond your walls into the wastelands to gather resources, meet rival colonies, and beat back bandits.

Colony management sits at the core. After a world-ending event, you construct and oversee a settlement of survivors, raising more than 61 unique buildings to handle everything from resource collection and farming to exploration and security. The surrounding world is vast and procedurally generated, spanning six distinct biomes filled with resources, wildlife, rival societies, and more, each with conditions that shape your colony's survival. Vigilance is essential, since natural disasters, dangerous animals, and bandits are all ready to test your people.

Survival is very much a specialty here. You recruit over 80 unique Specialists, each with their own skills and motivations, to manage resources and production or head beyond the Gate on scientific missions, scavenger runs, and bandit-hunting expeditions. Moral choices are unavoidable, and how you respond to emergent situations shapes the very character of your new civilization, with reputation carrying weight in every decision. A simulation and strategy title, it gives PC players a deep, choice-driven rebuild of society after the end.
