About Streets of Rage 4

Streets of Rage 4 poster

Streets of Rage 4 revives the all-time classic beat 'em up series, known in Japan as Bare Knuckle, whose trilogy became famous for its timeless gameplay and electronic dance-influenced music. This entry builds on the original games with new mechanics, beautiful hand-drawn visuals and a standout soundtrack, marking the first core series release in 25 years.

It reunites the franchise's iconic heroes, with Axel, Blaze, Adam and other veterans coming together to clean up the streets once more. Armed with brand-new moves, they set out to dish out beatdowns to a fledgling group of ill-advised criminals, delivering the side-scrolling brawling the series is adored for. Lush hand-drawn animations and fresh combat abilities make this both a tribute to and a revitalization of the classic action fans love.

The music remains central to its identity, and the soundtrack is handled by an all-star lineup of composers including Yuzo Koshiro, Motohiro Kawashima, Yoko Shimomura, Harumi Fujita and Keiji Yamagishi, all crafting new tracks for this chapter. Blending action, fighting and indie sensibilities, Streets of Rage 4 offers a stylish, music-driven return to the beat 'em up genre on PC.
