About StrangerZ

StrangerZ is a free-to-play multiplayer survival horror game built around a tense asymmetric standoff. Teams of survivors must hold out until dawn against a lurking threat known as the Stranger, or one player can take on the role of that menace instead. Lobbies range from 1v1 up to 3v1, and at the start of each match one player is chosen at random to become the Stranger while the rest defend a house through the night, from midnight until 6am.

Playing as a Survivor is all about coordination. Your team shares a handful of locks and a single permalock to secure windows, using equipment like spotlights and a security system to pinpoint where the Stranger is attacking and seal it off before it's too late. Success brings only brief relief, since the Stranger will strike again, and the goal is simply to endure until morning.

Taking on the Stranger flips the perspective, tasking you with breaking through those defenses to reach and eliminate the survivors before dawn. Winning matches earns rewards that can be spent on a variety of in-game items, and leveling up your stats and rank rounds out the progression. Blending action, strategy, simulation and indie roots, StrangerZ offers immersive cooperative horror on PC.
