Steel Division 2 is a World War II real-time strategy game that carries the series onto the Eastern Front of 1944. Set against Operation Bagration, the Soviet push against Nazi forces in Belorussia, it hands you command of an entire army and lets you shift between roles: a General steering 1:1-scale turn-based Dynamic Strategic Campaigns, a Colonel leading real-time tactical battles, and a weapon expert shaping your forces through the new Deck Building System.
The scope is considerable, with over 600 units, 25 maps and multiple modes stretching across solo, multiplayer and cooperative play for hundreds of hours of content. The Dynamic Strategic Campaigns play out on maps as large as 150 by 100 kilometers, where you direct thousands of men, plan battalion movements, manage supply lines and execute week-long operations grounded in historical detail.
Every battalion mirrors its real counterpart from Bagration, so you can either relive the offensive as it happened or steer events down a different path. Individual clashes can be fought out in real-time tactical combat or handed to autoresolve when you prefer to focus on the broader strategic picture, making this simulation-driven strategy title as demanding or as sweeping as you choose.
