The setting is the year 2330, when humanity has ventured beyond our solar system, settled new planets, and become a spacefaring people. As is the Bethesda tradition, the most important story is the one you tell with your own character, beginning with your appearance, Background, and Traits, and the choice of who you will be, whether an experienced explorer, a charming diplomat, a stealthy cyber runner, or something else entirely.

Exploration reaches an enormous scale, spanning more than 1000 planets to traverse. You navigate bustling cities, probe dangerous bases, and cross wild landscapes, meeting and recruiting a memorable cast of characters, joining various factions, and taking on quests throughout the Settled Systems.
