About Star Trucker

Star Trucker puts you behind the wheel of a rocket-powered big rig for an Americana-infused road trip across the ultimate open road: space itself. This laid-back simulation for PC has you hauling cargo, scavenging for salvage, and trading banter with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers as you cruise the hyper highways of the galaxy.

Earning a living means taking on a variety of jobs, from fuel-hungry long hauls to hazardous drop-offs, with the cash unlocking new content along the way. A fully voiced, interactive CB radio keeps you plugged into the wider world, letting you swap gossip with fellow drivers, request docking permissions, or send out an SOS. Between runs you can pull into auto-shops to upgrade your truck's systems and open up exciting, sometimes dangerous new areas, or turn a side profit buying and selling small goods, and the occasional bit of contraband, at trading posts and stations.

Survival is its own layer of the sim. You must keep core systems online, run the gravity compensator, manage the cab's climate control and hull charge, and patch damage before deterioration, or a costly roadside recovery, catches up with you. The galactic map lets you plot routes and hyperjump warps while watching fuel and power, then kick back, crank the cab hi-fi, and cruise. It is a relaxed, systems-driven trucking fantasy set among the stars.
