About Star Renegades

Star Renegades is a tactical RPG with roguelike structure and strategy leanings, built around a rallying cry of resist, reclaim, survive, repeat. A service robot named J5T-1N arrives in your dimension to warn of impending doom at the hands of an overwhelming force called the Imperium, setting off a fight for survival across a procedurally generated, mission-based campaign that never plays out the same way twice.

Combat is the centerpiece, a reactive turn-based system that emphasizes interrupts and counters, rewarding you for reading the enemy's intentions and disrupting them before they land. Standing against you is an intelligent Adversary system in which enemy officers evolve and climb the ranks over the course of a run, developing into more dangerous foes the longer they survive.

The indie title leans into its cyclical premise. As your band of heroes falls to the invading Imperium and hope seems lost, J5T-1N carries everything learned into the next dimension, giving a fresh group of heroes a better chance to prevail. Each dimension and each playthrough is unique and challenging, keeping the strategy fresh across attempts.
