About Split Fiction

Split Fiction poster

Split Fiction comes from the studio behind It Takes Two, the 2021 Game of the Year winner, and pushes boundaries once again with a co-op action-adventure that pulls you deep into many different worlds. It follows Mio and Zoe, two writers with opposing styles, one devoted to sci-fi and the other to fantasy, who become trapped inside their own stories after being hooked up to a machine designed to steal their creative ideas. To escape with their memories intact, they must rely on each other.

The experience thrives on unpredictability, keeping you on the edge of your couch as it hops between genres. One moment you are taming adorable dragons, the next you are fighting as cyber ninjas, fleeing terrifying trolls, or dodging hover cars flung by a robotic parking attendant. It is weird, wild, and unmistakably built to be shared, with the two writers mastering a variety of abilities and overcoming diverse challenges as they leap between sci-fi and fantasy realms.

This is a true co-op adventure tailored for two, played in split-screen where coordinating your actions and timing is essential to overcoming each obstacle. A partner can join for free through the Friend's Pass, with cross-platform play supported. Blending action and adventure, Split Fiction gives PC players an inventive, story-driven ride best enjoyed together.
