About Sintopia

Sintopia poster

Sintopia is a darkly comedic strategy and management sim in which you run the underworld's most dysfunctional punishment facility. As a freshly promoted middle manager at Hell Incorporated, your job sounds simple on paper: re-educate sinners, resurrect the worthy, and transform eternal damnation into a smoothly optimized business machine. Bureaucracy, it turns out, is eternal, and now you are the one in charge of it.

You build sin processing facilities and perfect their automation, manage a workforce of hellish imployees, and keep the paperwork flowing, just be sure everyone is paid on time. Souls arrive in an endless stream from above, and punishing them turns a profit that lets you expand your capabilities and your divine influence. You must also uphold a thriving Overworld to maintain the cycle of resurrection, and as Hell's administrator you can wield divine powers to motivate the living, whether through a bolt of lightning or a spontaneous inferno to spur the Humus population into action.

Because souls accumulate sins across many lifetimes, you keep an eye on their levels and build specialized purification facilities. Spanning multiple layers of Hell, the game lets you decide what kind of deity to become: merciful, ruthlessly efficient, or deliciously petty. As an indie PC strategy and simulation title, Sintopia turns eternal punishment into a wickedly funny management challenge.
