About Severed Steel

Severed Steel poster

Severed Steel is a single-player FPS built around a fluid stunt system, destructible voxel environments, plenty of bullet time and a one-armed protagonist. It comes down to you, your trigger finger and a steel-toed boot against a superstructure full of bad guys, and clearing it means chaining wall runs, dives, flips and slides to take down every last enemy in style.

You play as Steel, a nimble one-armed sharpshooter on a mission, and there is no reloading, so you pick your shots carefully and pry loaded weapons from your enemies' cold dead hands. Combat rewards constant motion as you dodge bullets, leap off walls, slide-kick and throw weapons, all against dynamic, unscripted squad-based AI that ensures no two battles unfold the same way. The fully destructible environment lets you pepper plaster with 4.7mm rounds, punch through concrete with .50 cal slugs, or blow big holes in things with your arm cannon.

Beyond the six-chapter Campaign Mode against the nefarious mega-corporation EdenSys, an arcade-styled Firefight Mode chases high scores and fast times across 30 levels, each with sub-challenges and over 20 game-modifying Mutators to unlock. A range of adjustable accessibility settings covers difficulty, visuals and audio. As an indie action FPS on PC, Severed Steel makes acrobatic, stylish gunplay its defining hook.
