About Scars Above

Scars Above is a challenging sci-fi third-person action-adventure shooter that pairs the satisfaction of overcoming difficulty with a compelling, intricate story set on a mysterious alien world. It begins when a colossal, enigmatic structure that humanity names The Metahedron appears in Earth's orbit and stuns the planet. The Sentient Contact Assessment and Response team, made up of scientists and engineers, is sent to investigate.

When things go wrong, the Metahedron hauls the team across space to an extrasolar planet. You take on the role of Dr Kate Ward, who wakes up dazed and alone in a strange, hostile environment and sets out to find her crew and unravel what happened. Kate is an astronaut and scientist rather than a soldier, but she is resourceful and determined to survive by any means necessary.

Combat asks you to manage stamina as you run, dodge, exploit weak points and combine ranged weapons, devices, consumables and melee attacks to find effective tactics. Elemental attacks can be mixed to beat tough foes and break through otherwise impassable obstacles, while crafting produces items and gadgets to counter the countless threats of this exoplanet. On PC, Scars Above rewards curiosity and careful preparation as you explore its mysterious, hostile setting.
