
SAND: Raiders of Sophie sends you across the dunes of the fallen planet Sophie in custom-built war machines, blending action and adventure in a massive, procedurally generated world. As a raider, you scavenge for loot, weapons, ammo and resources, battle rival players and try to extract with your spoils intact. Out here, a raider is only as strong as their Trampler, and building the right one is everything.
These gigantic walking mechs are fully customizable and serve as your fortress, shield and weapon all at once. You might design an impenetrable war machine bristling with mounted turrets, something small and stealthy for quick escapes, or a chaotic jumble of modules meant to confuse and disorient enemies. Whatever your playstyle, the modular system supports it, and creativity is the only real limit.
Expeditions can be tackled solo or with a crew. You deploy into the world, chart your own course and scavenge cities, ruins, shipwrecks and other remnants of a fallen civilization for loot. Along the way you survive encounters with the supernatural Upiors and decide whether to fight or talk your way out of confrontations with other players. On PC, it is a demanding sandbox where preparation and nerve both count.
