S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl Édition Améliorée poster

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl Enhanced Edition marks a return to where it all started, reviving one of the most visionary and groundbreaking survival first-person shooters ever made, now upscaled and enhanced for a new generation. As part of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Trilogy revival, it introduces atmospheric visual enhancements including God Rays, Dynamic Screen Space Reflections and advanced global illumination, together with redesigned water shaders, upgraded skyboxes and wetness effects. Upscaled textures add more detailed NPCs and environments, weapon field of view and models are improved, and the edition brings multiple bugfixes, quality-of-life tweaks and full gamepad support.

This is the first chapter of the Legends of the Zone Trilogy, the entry that started it all. Set in the former exclusion territory near the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, described as the most dangerous place on Earth, it casts you as The Marked One. You confront sinister mysteries, radiation-soaked anomalous threats and moral dilemmas, with your decisions shaping your destiny throughout this immersive, dark sci-fi saga.

The world rewards those who embrace its desolation, sending you through the isolation and suspense of a harsh Eastern European wilderness filled with hundreds of desperate vagabonds, mutant creatures and unseen dangers. Realistic locations rooted in the anomalous aftermath of the Chornobyl disaster invite exploration, each area holding its own secrets. For PC players who enjoy action RPGs with heavy survival and atmosphere, this enhanced edition delivers the origin of the series in refreshed form.
