Romans: Age of Caesar is a co-op MMORTS from Firefly Studios, the veteran city-builder team behind the Stronghold series. In this historical strategy game, players are tasked with rebuilding the empire by gathering resources, re-establishing trade routes, and defending shared city states against barbarian invasions. It brings classic city-builder gameplay into a shared, persistent online world where cooperation is essential.
Building Rome is a group effort here. You construct, trade and fight alongside fellow players in a shared open world, with up to 16 players occupying a single city and governors working together to grow it and rebuild the empire. Beyond your own district lies an expansive map dotted with new settlements, unique resources and mounting threats. You can forge alliances with city states that would otherwise be rivals, revive the republic, and work to restore the Roman Empire to its former glory.
Combat weaves through both cooperative and competitive play. You engage in tactical battles to push back the barbarian frontier in PvE, or turn to political warfare and epic PvP clashes, forging alliances to claim glory. The ultimate goal is to be crowned Caesar, which means carefully working your way into the senate, earning the confidence of your political partners, and choosing whether to rise alongside them or betray former allies when it suits you. For PC strategy fans, this MMO offers a blend of building, diplomacy and warfare.
