Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is a full remake of the groundbreaking non-linear RPG that first launched in Japan in 1993. It carries over both classic and newly added SaGa franchise features, arriving with Japanese and English voiceovers, a mix of original and rearranged music, and much more. Designed to welcome newcomers while giving longtime fans an amped-up experience, it serves as an ideal entry point into the series on PC.

The story centers on the Seven Heroes, once celebrated as saviors before the ancients, fearful of their immense power, banished them to another dimension. Legend held that they would one day return to rescue the world again. Thousands of years later, the heroes have faded into myth, but they finally return, furious that humanity has forgotten their sacrifices, and now they come back as villains bent on revenge. With monsters swarming the world, you take on the role of Ruler of the Empire of Varennes and must defend your legacy across successive generations, expanding your realm while defeating the vengeful Seven Heroes one by one.

A distinctive Imperial Succession system underpins the experience. You join forces with characters drawn from over 30 different classes, each covering various professions and races with favored weapons, unique abilities and effective tactics. From this broad pool of candidates you choose who inherits the throne as the next Emperor, giving the RPG a generational sweep that sets it apart.
