About Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven - Demo

This is the demo for Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven, a full remake of the groundbreaking non-linear RPG that originally launched in Japan in 1993. It offers a taste of a game that brings together both classic and newly added SaGa franchise features, complete with Japanese and English voiceovers, a blend of original and rearranged compositions, and more. Built to serve as an ideal entry point for newcomers while delivering an enhanced experience for longtime fans, it lets PC players sample the world before diving into the complete release.

The narrative follows the Seven Heroes, once hailed as saviors until the ancients, fearing their power, banished them to another dimension. It was foretold they would one day return to save the world again. Thousands of years later, with the heroes long since faded into legend, they come back furious that humankind has forgotten their many sacrifices, returning this time as villains driven by revenge. As monsters swarm the land, you take on the role of Ruler of the Empire of Varennes, defending your legacy across successive generations, expanding your realm, and defeating the vengeful Seven Heroes one by one.

At the heart of the game lies its Imperial Succession system. You unite characters from over 30 different classes, each with a range of professions and races, favored weapons, unique abilities and effective tactics. From this wide pool of candidates you select the next Emperor to inherit the throne, giving the RPG a generational structure that this demo introduces.
