Road 96: Mile 0 is a narrative-driven adventure built around a strong musical component, developed by the French studio DigixArt, the team previously responsible for Road 96, 11-11: Memories Retold and winner of five Pégases Awards. Published by Ravenscourt, the game hands players control of two teenagers, Zoe and Kaito, and switches between their perspectives throughout the story. The pair live in and explore White Sands, an upscale condominium reserved for Petria's elite, where Kaito's parents are employed.

The two friends come from opposite sides of the social divide. Zoe, familiar to fans of Road 96, grew up in wealth with a father who works for the government, while Kaito, who first appeared in Lost in Harmony, lives in a far less privileged neighborhood. Their close bond is tested as the journey forces both of them to confront their beliefs and question everything they thought they understood about the world around them.

Set before the events of Road 96, this prequel sheds light on what ultimately drove Zoe to leave home. Playing as both teenagers, you shape how their story unfolds while crossing paths with many of the colorful characters from the original game, revealing another side of the troubled nation of Petria on PC. At its core, this is a tale about conflict and the fragile nature of friendship.
