Retro Rewind - Video Store Simulator poster

Retro Rewind is a video store simulator that lets you relive the golden age of video rentals by opening and running your own shop. You rent, sell, organize, and build your business from the ground up, hiring staff, managing your team, and working to become the best rental destination in town. As a casual, indie-flavored simulation, it turns the everyday bustle of a rental store into an engaging management loop on PC.

There's rarely a dull moment behind the counter. You'll take reservations, charge late fees, recommend movies, and even prepare delicious snacks, all while customizing your space with different walls, floors, posters, and memorabilia, then expanding your layout to build the store of your dreams. Your shelves fill with thousands of unique VHS tapes, each carrying its own title, genre, and hand-drawn cover art, sourced from an old PC or from a shady Tape Dealer.

The simulation runs deep. You can build a dream team to help with daily tasks, manage returns by rewinding tapes and setting aside reservations, and track late or broken items while handling varied customer reactions. Seasons, weather, and holidays shift gameplay and rental demand, so a rainy Friday night can pack your store, keeping each week fresh with new releases inspired by iconic films of the 80s and early 90s.
