About Rain World

In Rain World you are a slugcat, a small and vulnerable creature adrift in a world brimming with danger and facing it entirely alone. Separated from your family by a devastating flood, you must scavenge for food and shelter in the narrow windows between terrifying torrential downpours that threaten to drown every living thing. Your journey leads you through the ruins of an ancient civilization, past the jaws of vicious predators, and into strange new lands teeming with odd creatures and buried mysteries, all in a race to find your family before death finds you.

Inspired by the simplicity and aesthetics of 16-bit classics, this survival platformer demands fast, careful sneaking, both while stalking your own prey and while slipping past hungry hunters. Every foe is cunning and relentless, eager to sink its teeth into you or even into one another, so as a soft little slugcat you must rely on stealth and wit rather than force, learning the ecosystem and turning its dangers to your advantage.

The world is vast, spanning over 1,600 rooms across 12 diverse regions packed with ancient secrets and hidden threats. Procedurally generated animation gives the slugcat a natural fluidity and real sense of weight, while intense, primal predator encounters constantly test your reflexes in this action, adventure, and indie experience on PC.
