Raid: Shadow Legends — our verdict

Raid: Shadow Legends is Plarium's flagship free-to-play collection RPG set in the dark-fantasy world of Teleria, where you answer the Arbiter's call to stop the Dark Lord Siroth. You summon and level 800+ Champions across 16 factions, gear them, and deploy them in turn-based tactical battles spanning a story Campaign, 13+ dungeon bosses, Clan Boss, the Doom Tower, and PvP Arena (including Live Arena). Progression is gear- and speed-driven, with deep team-building around buffs, debuffs, turn-meter manipulation, and affinity advantage. It's endlessly deep for theorycrafters but famously grindy and monetization-heavy.

Our take

A genuinely deep, well-supported turn-based collector with years of content and one of the best theorycrafting communities in mobile gaming — but the aggressive gacha/energy monetization, relentless grind, and infamous ad blitz mean it earns its "your favorite YouTuber's sponsor" reputation. Free-to-play players can progress far with patience and daily Clan Boss discipline, but whales pull ahead fast.
