About RAGE 2

RAGE 2 plunges you headfirst into a dystopian world stripped of society, law, and order, uniting two studio powerhouses: Avalanche Studios, masters of open-world chaos, and id Software, the creators of the first-person shooter. Together they deliver a carnival of carnage where you can go anywhere, shoot anything, and blow up everything in sight.

An asteroid has wiped out 80 percent of humanity, and the survivors' numbers keep shrinking. Ruthless, bloodthirsty gangs prowl the open roads while the tyrannical Authority rules with an iron fist. As Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland and a genuine threat to that power, you have been robbed of your home and left for dead, and now you must rage for justice and freedom armed with ludicrous vehicle combat and super-powered mayhem.

The developers call the result a shooterverse, more than a shooter and more than an open-world game, combining id's shooter pedigree with Avalanche's open-world craft. You seamlessly traverse a vast and varied landscape, from lush jungles and treacherous swamps to sun-scorched deserts, hunting the Authority and battling sadistic gangs for the tools and tech needed to crush their rule once and for all on PC.
