About Pine

Pine is an open-world action adventure simulation game set in the beautiful world of Albamare, where you take on the role of Hue, a smart young adult navigating a vibrant land filled with creatures far more intelligent than humans. As you search for a new home where your tribe can settle, you must explore, trade and fight your way through this living environment, engaging with its large-scale ecology at every turn.

Preparing for what lies ahead means doing more than just battling. Across six different biomes you explore, barter, talk, craft and fight, working with and against a diverse cast of species that will not simply hand you their help. Their story becomes yours as you grapple with a world that treats humans as just one part of a broader web of life, rather than its center.

What makes Pine distinctive is that its world keeps moving even without you. All organisms are alive and constantly doing whatever they can to survive, so events unfold across the open world whether or not you are involved. You can choose to befriend a species and fight alongside them, or turn against them by attacking, stealing their food or forcing them to abandon their habitat, and every such choice nudges the species along the ecological spectrum. As an indie RPG-flavored adventure on PC, it makes survival a genuinely dynamic struggle.
