Phasmophobia is a four-player online co-op psychological horror game in which you and your team of paranormal investigators enter haunted locations filled with paranormal activity to gather as much evidence of the supernatural as you can. Armed with ghost hunting equipment, you search for and record proof of whatever ghost is haunting the site, then sell that evidence on to a ghost removal team. It is a game built entirely around fear, teamwork and careful observation.
How you contribute is up to you. You can support the team by monitoring the location with CCTV cameras and motion sensors from the relative safety of the truck, keeping watch over everyone from a distance. Alternatively, you can head inside and get your hands dirty with the ghostly activity directly, facing the entity up close as you hunt for the telltale signs of its presence.
Either way, the danger only grows. The haunting becomes increasingly hostile as time goes on, so the longer an investigation drags out, the more aggressive the ghost turns and the higher the stakes climb. As an indie action horror experience on PC, Phasmophobia thrives on that mounting tension, rewarding players who coordinate, communicate and know when to press deeper into a haunted location and when it might be wiser to fall back.
