People Playground is a sandbox built for anyone who enjoys throwing ragdolls around and wants that experience to feel more detailed, satisfying and free. You can shoot, stab, burn, poison, tear, vaporize or crush ragdolls to your heart's content, and there is more than enough space to play in as well as more than enough to play with. As an indie mix of action, casual and simulation on PC, it turns physical experimentation into the whole point.
What gives the game its depth is that every object carries a set of properties describing how it interacts with everything else in the world. Some things are sharp, letting you stab people and other soft objects with swords or spears. Many materials conduct electricity, some better than others, and humans conduct it very well too, so charging certain items makes them far more powerful. Plenty of materials burn, including wood, rubber, plastic and humans, letting you set them alight and watch them slowly char to black.
Beyond destruction, the sandbox invites construction. A varied collection of projectile weapons handles the things that shoot, while different explosives vary in destructive power and in how they release their energy. You can also build contraptions, often elaborate death machines, and then let them loose to see what happens, making experimentation and creativity as central as the mayhem itself.
