About Path of Exile

Path of Exile is an online free-to-play Action RPG set in the dark fantasy world of Wraeclast, where you have been banished for your misdeeds to a brutal land in search of freedom, power and revenge. It is known for deep character customization, built on a sprawling passive skill tree, socketable skill gems, enormous itemization and a robust crafting system. You can pick from seven starting classes and 18 sub-classes, then play solo or team up with as many as five friends.

The path to power begins with your class, whether Duelist, Witch, Ranger, Templar, Marauder, Shadow or Scion, and from there the possibilities open wide. You create and combine hundreds of unique skill setups by mixing tradable itemized gems with the game's vast passive tree, joining skill gems, support gems and trigger gems into your own blend of offense and defense. From forsaken shores to the ruined city of Sarn, Wraeclast holds ancient secrets waiting to be uncovered.

Deadly Missions come courtesy of the Forsaken Masters, each with their own style and countless variations that scale up as you push deeper, and these can appear anywhere, including in end-game Maps. Above all, this MMO-flavored adventure is about items: finding, collecting and trading magic, rare and unique gear on PC keeps you dressed to kill run after run.
