About Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2 is a next-generation free-to-play Action RPG from Grinding Gear Games, offering co-op for up to six players. It returns to the land of Wraeclast, a dark continent home to unique cultures, ancient secrets and monstrous dangers, where a sinister threat once thought destroyed has begun creeping back on the edge of civilization, driving people mad and sickening the land with Corruption. A brand-new campaign spans six acts across 100 distinct environments, populated by 600 monsters and 100 bosses.

Character building sits at the heart of the experience. There are twelve character classes, two for each combination of Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence, and while each focuses on a different playstyle, they serve only as a starting point since you can combine skills from many classes to build your ideal character. Every class also has three Ascendancy specializations, adding up to 36 Ascendancy Classes to choose from.

The game introduces a new Skill Gem System featuring 240 Skill Gems that grant powerful active abilities and 200 Support Gems that modify how they behave. This time Support Gems socket directly into Skill Gems, streamlining the process and removing many of the older frustrations. As an MMO-leaning adventure RPG on PC, it carries forward the series' famous depth while rebuilding its systems for a new generation.
